Services | COMPREHENSIVE EYE EXAMINATIONS
Dr Bohman believes in thorough preventive eye care. Depending on your age and vision conditions, these exams are scheduled for 6, 12, 18 or 24 months.
The exam starts with careful and detailed medical and eye health histories. We check visual acuity, eye coordination, depth perception, color vision, eye focusing ability, eye pressure and blood pressure. Refractive error (for glasses prescription) and eye curvature (for contact lenses) are checked. The external ocular health is evaluated using a biomicroscope, internal ocular health using various opthalmoscopes and retinal photography.
Dr Bohman finishes with a relaxed consultation where he discusses his findings and recommendations, answering all of your questions.
MEDICAL EYE HEALTH EXAMS
Dr Bohman manages all forms of eye health problems. Patients are treated for allergies, dry eyes, conjunctivitis and blepharitis (styes). He also treats glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, macular degeneration, vitreous floaters, retinal detachment, cataracts and many other less common conditions.
Dr Bohman coordinates specialty care with many area doctors for retinal surgery, cataract surgery and refractive laser surgery. He will also help coordinate care for other conditions including neurology and general health care for diabetes, hypertension, migraine headaches.

Contact lens success is a result of careful measurement and detailed history combined with thorough instruction in lens care and handling. Dr Bohman uses diagnostic contact lenses to determine the safest lens for uncomplicated lens wear. This involves progress exams weekly for beginning contact lens wearers and regular follow up care every 6 to 12 months, depending on the type of lens used.
Dr Bohman fits all types of contact lenses, both tinted and clear, for daily wear, extended wear, astigmatism correcting lenses, bifocal lenses and hard gas permeable lenses. Our guarantee covers all types. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the comfort or vision of your new contact lenses we will correct this problem or issue a full refund of your contact lens material fees.

Our licensed opticians follow Dr Bohman’s optical design specifications to create the best possible optical correction for clear and comfortable vision at all distances. Our opticians also assist you in choosing from our great selection of high quality frames including Nike, Marc Jacobs, Cover Girl, Michael Kors, Timberland, Vera Bradley, Silhouette and more!
We guarantee that our eyewear is manufactured with materials of high quality, strength and durability and is free of defects. Each prescription is personally inspected by our opticians to assure that the lenses and frames meet or exceed all specifications established by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for vision and safety.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with the vision, safety, comfort or cosmetics of your new eyewear we will correct the problem to your satisfaction or issue a full refund of your eyewear fees.
We offer free adjustments and minor repairs for the lifetime of your glasses. Our 2 year warranty covers your new frame and lenses for breakage during normal use.

Facilities and Equipment | Our office was completely remodeled and re-equipped in 2002. We have a comfortable, modern reception area. Fully computerized work stations provide for state of the art communications with our optical laboratory, insurance carriers and patient scheduling.
Our frame and lens displays are new, clean and up to date. A new “Smart Mirror” allows patients to try on virtual tinted contact lenses and to see themselves on a video display as they try on frames.
Our examination equipment was all replaced with the newest models in 2002. More recently we have updated to a new fundus camera for retinal photography and tonometer to check intraocular pressures that are more pleasant for the patient than the older instruments. We use modern automated equipment to measure visual fields, auto-refraction, auto-keratometry, fundus photography and intra-ocular pressure measurement.
In our dispensary we use a computerized lens analyzer to check prescriptions in glasses and to assure exact optical quality. We have a computerized frame tracer that allows us to get a perfect fit of new lenses into your own frames without having to send your frame to the lab.
